James Barton Design-Build Awards 2009 Scholarship

James Madsen has set up a $1,000 scholarship program at his former high school in Huron, South Dakota. Eligible students must have taken at least one class in the trades through the tech school. These classes are taught through the high school’s vocational pro-gram. Eligible students must also have plans to pursue a post-secondary construction trade, such as production management, carpentry, electrical, architectural drafting or construction design.

This year’s recipient is Tim Rotert. This fall, Tim will be entering Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls to study architectural drafting.
